Terms relating to the Information Collected from Users

Link-Exchangers collects minimal personal information when you register for link exchanges. The only information collected upon registration is your email address, your name, your password, the name of your website, and description of your website. At any given time Link-Exchangers.com may use registered email address information to send website updates, link request notifications etc.

Security of Collected Information

Link-Exchangers stores all email addresses and website information on our secure servers. Your contact information is never displayed to the public and is kept private. So there is no chance of disclosure of your personal information.

Email Security

Your email address information is stored in a protected directory. Access is restricted to Link-Exchangers developers and staff.

Terms Relating to Service ofLink-Exchangers.com

1. Although not required, members are requested to provide a reciprocal link to Link-Exchangers.com after registering at the site. This link should be displayed on the home page of your website. Our linking code is available on our banners page.

     

2. All sites are approved by Link-Exchangers.com for inclusion in its directory, and all website thumbnail images are approved by the site admin. The site is viewed by people of all ages and we will not allow content that is unlawful, harmful, pornographic, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, hateful, or racially, ethnically, religiously or otherwise offensive. Sites that are deemed inappropriate will be subject to termination without a refund of any subscription paid.   Multiple logins are not necessary and are not allowed.Additional websites may be added to your account by using the MyWebsites link in the members area.

     

3. You agree to place a link on your home page that points to your Link Directory so that it is not hidden from the search engines. This will allow the search engines to spider your directory which is a benefit for all members as Google will allocate page rank to your directory pages. You will obtain a higher ranking in engines that see your links spidered.

     

4. You agree to  approve or deny link exchange requests in a timely manner. When you receive an email from Link-Exchangers.com  that someone has requested a link exchange with one of your sites, promptly login and either approve or deny the request. Please be courteous to your fellow members in this regard. If there are repeated complaints about the speed of your link request acceptances or denials, your membership could be suspended without notice to you. If you register at Link-Exchangers and do not participate in link exchanges, your account will be deactivated and placed into a database of websites excluded from the site after 30 days of no activity.

     

5. You agree that you will not place your link directory in a robots.txt file and use the noindex nofollow meta tags for your Link Directory. This type of activitity is a way of cheating link partners and is NOT ALLOWED here at Link-Exchangers.com.  If you wish to cheat your fellow link partners then do not register because your account will be deactivated and it will not be reactived until you change this type of activity. We monitor this activity on a daily basis.

     

6. If you change your email address, and don't update it here, and we send you email and the email bounces, you're websites (all of them) will be deactivated. You have the capability of turning email notifications from Link-Exchangers.com on or off from your profile.

     

7. All materials on our site including text, images, html code, and php scripts are protected by US and International Copyright laws, and may not be copied or modified or otherwise distributed by any means without permission from Link-Exchangers.com. Anyone who has modified our code for purposes other than what it was intended for will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law with California Courts having jurisdiction. All text, images, and code is intended to work with the Link-Exchangers.com website and may not be used for any other purpose.

     

8. Link-Exchangers.com is not affiliated with any of the websites in its directory, and Link-Exchangers.com will not be held responsible for the content of any website. The websites in the directory are for your convenience only, and you access them at your own risk. Link-Exchangers.com is not responsible for any claims or representations made by any site in its directory.

     

9. Upon the violation of any of these terms, we may at our discretion deactivate your FREE Membership, or discontinue your Featured Site or Advanced Membership without any notice to you.

     

   Link-Exchangers.com does not offer refunds for the Advanced membership or Featured Sites, and the terms are billed to your paypal account every 30 days. You may cancel your subscription at any time for the next billing cycle by visiting paypal and cancelling your subscription(s).

     

10. Link-Exchangers.com reserves the right to modify, alter or otherwise update these Terms at any time and you agree to be bound by such modifications.

      

11. YOU UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT: YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS.
