As you may have
seen, our software script creates a link directory on any website with
the look and feel of the rest of the site. A template file consisting of a
page from your site creates all your individual link pages for your directory and you simply create the categories. Your links and categories are stored on your server in a mysql database
as well as in a master database at LE.
Your affiliate stats may be viewed by logging into your account
and clicking on the link in your members area. You'll be able to see how many webmasters registered their sites here at LE as a result of hearing about us through your link request form. At this time, affiliate urls are not being used. We are not selling a piece of software that you can download and get paid a commission on like most affiliate programs. As a membership site, it is more accurate to determine who receives credit for the referral by doing a search of the master link database.
When someone requests a link through your form, the persons website data is stored in the link database table with their website url on a row next to the advanced member's website ID and a date stamp. Each time someone upgrades to the advanced membership, the program searches the database to see if the url being registered has ever traded a link with one of the advanced membership users, and if a match is found, this member will be the person receiving the commission. If more than one match is found, the date stamp is used to award credit to the very 1st link traded with an advanced member. This is virtually tamperproof as there is no possibility for anyone to tamper with an affiliate url since there are no affiliate urls at this time.
To become an affiliate, you must first upgrade one of your sites to advanced membership status by paying the $19.95 monthly membership fee, and then modify your profile to include some additional information and accept the terms of service. Commissions are sent out once a month on the 1st via paypal mass pay. Stats are viewable in your members area.
